Part 1: New York - Los Angeles

Hello everybody,

I hope this finds everybody well and safe.

Thanks so much for the so many people who were complaining and angry for not writting.
In the past month it was just a marathon, with no time for that.
It really makes me feel great to hear from you and whats going on in your lifes.
Please keep doing that. I try to answer any mail i get.

Finally when i got to San Francisco, my dearest friends Ben & Malla, treated me like family and hosted me in their appartment and i could finally write (I'll write about San Francisco and south of California the next time).

I'm also sorry about having only an English version, i know this is hard for some of you, but didn't have the other option so far.

So here it goes....

I started from NY in 10/5, welcomed in the passport checks by a large sized black woman, who welcomed me with excitement for my Afro-Jewish hair.

At first NY made me feel so small and unimportant, walking in Manhatan under the shades of giant buildings, but as i did that, i found out that it's a small city after all.
I had to really convince myself that i'm not halusinating, when i saw Ofer from Applied on the other side of the street - pure nice coincidence, Congratulations for the wedding !

I can't really say i saw New-York, cause i was fighting my jet-lag and had to shop a lot, but it made a strong mark in my memory, and i will explore when i ccome back (Also no pics - bought the camera in the last day).

My main journey so far was with TrekAmerica, here it is: http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dfsrg4vw_4hb443zgd

After a week and a half in San-Francisco, i'm going next south to Santa Barbara, probably Joshua Tree national park and finally San Diego before i cross to Mexico.

I now have a new contact details (i think that some people don't know yet)

Email: heylal.m@gmail.com
Skype: heylal.m
FaceBook: look for heylal

Please forward it to people i missed i think most of them belong to forum "Nahlaot" and "Givaa".

Until next time,

Heylal
